We found these particular websites fantastic for O1A visa, O1B visa, NIW and EB1 Green Card advice.

Best Practices:

  • first search for what you need to know before you post your own question.
  • Consider being generous with your information.
  • Choose a username that is not offensive and not identifiable to you.
  • Do not post personal information.
  • USCIS officers sometimes post in these forums so it’s best not to say anything unbecoming or have too many specifics about your case.

Tip: First enter the website in your search bar and what you need to know in inverted commas “keyword”.

Reddit:

www.reddit.com is an excellent resource. It is separated out into several sections so it might take a bit of searching to find what you are looking for. USCIS officers regularly post in these forums to help applicants.

Best way to use – type site:www.reddit.com “question you need answered”

Trackitt:

What’s great about this forum is you get an idea of recent application timelines. If you are using this forum help others by posting your date of application and when you are requested information or approved – it really helps the community out.

Site is set out in blocks for each visa and form. Mostly B, L, H and family visa information but still worth checking.

ImmiHelp

This was very active a few years ago. There is still lots of pertinent information

They have each visa listed into sections. They have other countries and a Chinese language section.

NOTE: These forums have great and poor advice. Don’t see an answer as gospel. O, NIWs and EB1s etc are excellent visas and not many people know about them or have a skewed idea of what it means to be extraordinary.

Immigration.com

Was also once a very active forum but there are still gems here. You may post your question but will find a bunch of replies with others with the same issue.

Very well laid out with each visa type separated.

AM22Tech

An interesting forum for people in the tech realm. Very active and many ‘expert answers’. They don’t just have a forum for US visas but many other major countries.

Every question is lumped together and peoples questions may not be formatted with the correct language making it difficult to find the information you need.
